That would be me!
Hello, I'm Ardra. Known to most as David, it is my middle name that brings tremendous family pride. I was named after my great grandfather, Ardra Presley, pictured here with his wife Emma, holding me in his arms. I can still recall playing in his garden of sweet peas as a kid.
"Ardra" is a Celtic name, but has its origins in Hinduism, representing rebirth and transformation. As I ventured out on my own, it felt only natural to embrace the philosophy from which my name is derived.
Early in life, I was fortunate to discover what brought me joy and purpose - teaching. Although it has taken many shapes and forms, my greatest passion remains helping others grow. It started as a kindergarten teacher, evolved into higher education, and branched into corporate learning and development. I couldn't get enough so earned my PhD in Education Training and Leadership in order to gain more understanding and grow in the craft, picking up a more strategic approach to solve complex education problems. So, it is only natural I become energized watching others unleash their own potential; I know firsthand how rewarding it is.
You can call me David or Ardra. Either way, let's connect.
